Accessibility

Our approach

We aim for every page on this site to be usable by anyone, on any device, at any time — including when you're in a panic and your hands are shaking. Emergency information is always the first thing you see and should be legible even on a slow mobile connection.

What we've done

  • Semantic HTML throughout — headings, lists, and landmarks are used properly so screen readers can navigate the content.
  • High colour contrast on all text — the toxic-red and safe-green states both exceed WCAG AA minimums.
  • All interactive elements are keyboard-accessible and have visible focus states.
  • No auto-playing media, no intrusive modals, no pop-ups, no cookie banners.
  • Skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
  • Emergency phone numbers are clickable tel: links so you can dial from mobile with one tap.

If something's not working

If anything on this site is inaccessible or difficult to use, please email us via the contact page and we'll prioritise fixing it.
