What we collect
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic patterns (pages viewed, country, device type, session length). GA4 runs under Google Consent Mode v2 — analytics cookies are only set if you click Accept on the cookie banner; if you decline or ignore it, no analytics cookies are placed and no data is sent to Google. This data is aggregated — we cannot identify individual visitors from it.
We do not use advertising pixels or any form of cross-site behavioural profiling. We do not sell or share data with third parties.
Cookies
We keep cookie use to a minimum. A small consent banner records your cookie preference in your browser's local storage. If you accept, GA4 sets its own analytics cookies. If you click an affiliate link, the retailer (e.g. Amazon, or a CJ/Awin-network merchant) sets its own cookies on its site. See our cookie policy for the full breakdown and how to opt out.
Contact form and email
If you email us, your email address and message are retained for as long as needed to respond. We do not add you to any mailing list. You can request deletion at any time by replying to our response.

Some pages contain Amazon affiliate links. If you click through and buy a product, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We only link to products we genuinely believe are useful to UK cat owners — we are not paid by Amazon to recommend specific items. Amazon's own cookies will set when you visit their site; please see Amazon's privacy notice.

When you click an external link (e.g. a veterinary resource or retailer), that third party will have its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for how they handle your data.
